Fairhope's Fourth of July Celebration!
Full Description:
The City of Fairhope will host its annual Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks display on Wednesday, July 4th.
The Baldwin Pops Band Independence Day Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Henry George Park above Fairhope’s pier. A variety of patriotic music will be played before and during the fireworks display and will be broadcast live by WABF 1220 AM. Those folks who sit on the bay front bluffs for the fireworks should bring their battery powered radio and tune it to WABF 1220 AM for better sound.
The Fairhope fireworks display is scheduled to start at approximately 9 p.m. As in previous years, the display will be coordinated by the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department.
Parking and seating will be limited down the bay hill but residents and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy a wonderful day and evening on Mobile Bay. The North end of Fairhope Municipal Park will be open throughout the day and will remain open until no parking is available. The south end of the beach front park and Knoll Park will also be available to spectators. Handicap parking will be available near the fountain but will be limited. Those who wish to park in the handicap area should arrive early and plan to stay until the fireworks are over. For more information on Fairhope’s Fourth of July Festival & Fireworks display, please call 929-1466.
